Simple procedure destroys breast cancer tumors | ||
As you may know, I’m all about natural treatments whenever possible. But there are times when technology can produce absolutely amazing treatments. And researchers in Israel may have one such discovery that can destroy small breast cancer tumors. The Israeli company IceCure Medical developed IceSense3 to kill breast cancer tumors with a minimally invasive treatment. The procedure is much like a biopsy, in that it uses ultrasound imaging to guide a thin hollow needle into the tumor. Then the doctor uses extremely cold temperatures injected through the needle to destroy the tumor.
This could be a very useful procedure for doctors that use thermography. Thermography, if you recall, can find developing tumors before they fully degenerate to cancer. The imaging picks up specific heat signatures within the breast. Tumors generate a lot of heat. So it makes sense that the cold temperatures would destroy the tumor. (You can read all about thermography on my website.) Plus, the cold would destroy cells close to the needle and potentially prevent any spread through the needle pathway (a serious problem with biopsies). It still remains to be seen if it will prevent widespread metastases, since cancers have often spread by the time they are visible on scan or palpable on exam. But this beats mastectomy and even lumpectomy, which are both limited in their benefits and the incisions may cause the tumor to spread. If you’re interested in finding a doctor near you that performs this procedure, please call 888-516-7389. And be sure that I’ll have more on this new therapy as it becomes available.
