February 1, 2012

San Luis Obispo, CA –The Vitamin D Council is partnering with Bio-Tech Pharmacal to give away bottles of 4000 IU capsules of vitamin D3. The organization is opening up a grant application cycle to the public, looking to provide organizations with the supplements to enhance a program or initiative. “We’re primarily looking for organizations that want to use these supplements as a vehicle to educate their communities on vitamin D,” says Brant Cebulla, Development Director of the Vitamin D Council.

“Bio-Tech shares the Council’s passion for vitamin D research and education,” says Levi Simpson, Laboratory Director of Bio-Tech Pharmacal, “We have manufactured vitamin D3 supplements for use in over 40 clinical trials and are donating this product as a means of reaching out to communities.”

The Vitamin D Council is looking to support organizations that can use more than one hundred bottles of D3, but no more than four hundred bottles. The application process is open until February 10th.

The Vitamin D Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, working to spread awareness on vitamin D, the worldwide vitamin D deficiency pandemic and relay the latest research on vitamin D to the public.

I was actually talking about vitamin D supplements with my pastor and a couple other ladies today. My pastor recently had her Vitamin D level checked and she was really low so her doctor put her on massive amounts of it. She too said she is feeling much better and that her knees and hands are no longer bothering her. My midwife put me on a lower dose almost a year ago and while I'm not feeling drastically different, I do think there is an improvement.
