FDA Says Viral Contamination Found Again in Rotavirus Vaccine

GAITHERSBURG, Md. -- DNA from a pig virus has been detected in Merck's RotaTeq rotavirus vaccine, an FDA official announced during the opening session of FDA hearing on rotavirus vaccines. In March, the agency reported similar contamination in a rotavirus vaccine manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline.
