Coat the area of the pot with the oil, and use just enough popcorn to
make a single layer over the bottom of the pot. Give the pot a little
shake to make sure all of the kernels are coated with oil. Next, place
the pot over medium heat. Put the lid on the pot, leaving it slightly

FDA now forcing supplement companies to censor consumer free speech on the internet
|
The most recent example comes in the form of a free-speech limiting effort by the Food and Drug Administration, which has used a truth-in-labeling regulation to create a "violation" out of whole cloth in what appears to be nothing more than an arbitrary, capricious and punitive action. The FDA has recently issued warning letters to a pair of supplement companies whose "crime" was nothing more than having customer-related interactions via the Internet. From the Alliance for Natural Health: Here is what triggered one of them: supplement company AMARC Enterprises "liked" a Facebook customer testimonial about how their product helped "keep cancer at bay." FDA says this means AMARC made a disease claim. Note that the customer did not even say that the product cured cancer, just that it helped keep the customer free of cancer. As the alliance noted in a blog about the FDA's actions, it now appears as though the agency believes companies are now responsible for customer comments on social media websites, which are "an increasingly important form of communication and interaction between companies and the public." The second recent supplement company reprimand letter from the FDA was directed at MDR Fitness Corp., and was triggered by an equally imagined violation: When someone types disease terms into a search box on the company's website, the FDA says, that constitutes an "implied" claim of curing that disease. A dubious claim of regulatory righteousness "This goes too far. It means that even a sentence such as, 'Living in a healthy way can help avoid cancer or heart attacks,' will be disallowed," the ANH said. "Certain words will be absolutely forbidden. This is a very slippery slope. Once this line is crossed, how far will the FDA go?" The agency is claiming it has a right to act under the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act, because a drug is defined as a product "intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease in man or other animals." The FDA regulations health claims made on product labels, and that includes supplement labels as well, so under this "intended use" doctrine, FDA bureaucrats are concluding that a product is a "drug" based only on the promotional claims made by a company or, as that pertains to last year's federal appeals court case, U.S. v. Caronia, statements made by an advertiser or promoter. "For example, garlic becomes an illegal drug if an advertiser claims that the product will cure food poisoning, even though this is verifiably true. Similarly, manuka honey becomes an illegal drug if a seller mentions that it will stop skin infections (also verifiably true, as even the New York Times has reported). There are many, many such examples," says the ANH. The same "intended use" doctrine can also be manipulated to apply to many non-traditional products, turning them into "drugs" or "medical devices." For instance, in 2012 the FDA hinted it would eventually regulate medical mobile apps for smart phones and tablets because such apps could essentially transform them into a medical device. Do you see how this crazy "logic" appears logical to the statist and bureaucrat? (A side note regarding medical apps and the FDA's description of them as "medical devices" - many in Congress are now concerned that if smart phones and tablets with medical apps are deemed as medical devices, they could be liable for taxation under the medical devices tax contained in Obamacare. See how the craziness is unending?) The federal bureaucratic lunacy continues The FDA's new warnings appear to be in conflict with the judge's decision in the Caronia case. ANH said that decision "mostly underscored protections of free commercial speech. FDA is using a very broad interpretation of what constitutes a disease claim, explicit or especially implied." As Facebook users know, to simply "like" something is nothing more than a passive acknowledgement of someone's comment; to glean otherwise, especially in the context of the FDA's warning to the supplement makers, goes beyond the ludicrous. The FDA "may; however, be a little worried," the ANH said. "The agency buried the above warnings amid a list of other alleged infractions. The agency seems to be trying to expand its Internet regulatory reach in a piecemeal under-the-radar fashion. We need to let them know we are noticing. We also need to pass the Free Speech About Science Act." Sources: http://www.anh-usa.org http://www.raps.org http://www.fda.gov |

Milk Thistle as a Cancer Remedy, Protects Against Chemo’s Toxic Effects
In 2007, research published in Integrative Cancer Therapies reviewed numerous clinical studies suggesting milk thistle’s positive effects on cancer. After examination and according to the abstract: “there is strong preclinical evidence for silymarin’s hepatoprotective and anticarcinogenic effects, including inhibition of cancer cell growth in human prostate, skin, breast, and cervical cells”. But even as a “promising” remedy for cancer, this is not, as of now, where the bulk of milk thistle’s positive attributes come in.The University of Maryland Medical Center states:
“Early laboratory studies also suggest that silymarin and other active substances in milk thistle may have anticancer effects. These substances appear to stop cancer cells from dividing and reproducing, shorten their lifespan, and reduce blood supply to tumors.”In addition to protecting against cancer, milk thistle is well known among the science community to be able to protect the liver and kidneys from the ill effects of chemotherapy. The active substance in milk thistle, silymarin, which is a mixture of flavanoid compounds, is what’s known for this granted protection. The plant is able to reduce liver enzyme levels, help to reduce inflammation, and assists in modulating T-cells.
Adding Milk Thistle to the Natural Remedies List
If you follow natural health and bathe your mind with natural solutions, then you’re likely aware that milk thistle is far from the only plant or food that has been found to possess anti-cancer properties. Here are just a few other foods and plants that have been in the spotlight for their ability to prevent cancer.- Turkey Tail Mushroom – Using real cancer patients, researchers from Bastyr set out to test the effectiveness of a mushroom called the turkey tail mushroom. They found that when individuals ingest the mushroom, immune cells lining the intestines become stimulated, which in turn stimulate other immune cells all over the body. Another piece of research from the Queensland University of Technology found that the active compound in turkey tail mushroom known as polysaccharopeptide (PSP) is able to stop prostate tumors from ever developing.
- Grape Seed Extract - Grape seed extract has been shown to essentially outperform chemotherapy in destroying and inhibiting the growth of colorectal cancer cells. Researchers from the University of Colorado Cancer Center report that the more aggressive the cancer cells are, the more effective the grape extract works at targeting and stopping the growth. Further, GSE attacks cancer cells whle leaving healthy cells untouched – unlike many mainstream cancer treatments.
- Lei Gong Teng or “Thunder God Vine” - According to the research published in the journal Science Translational Medicine, the thunder god plant compound led to no signs of tumors after a 40 day period — even after discontinuing the treatment. An active compound within the plant, triptolide, has been identified as a cancer fighter in previous research, and is thought to be the key component responsible for anti-tumor capabilities.

Jeffery: Chemo-free testicular cancer survivor since 2009
Jeffery: Chemo-free testicular cancer survivor since 2009
17 Comments 23 March 2013
Jeffrey with his wife, newborn triplets, and cancer in 2009.
My name is Jeffrey Williams and I had stage 3 testicular cancer. I was diagnosed Feb 25th 2009. I had my first surgery to have the cancerous testicle removed on the next day. I went to the local cancer hospital (Roswell Park) on March 3rd to confirm I was cancer free. That day I was told I had a second tumor that was roughly 7 inches by 4 inches in my abdomen. I was given 2-6 months to live. My wife was pregnant with our triplets at this time and the Dr.’s kept telling me that I was never going to see my babies be born.
I was officially cancer free April 20th 2010.
Describe your experience with conventional doctors and treatments:
My experience with conventional doctors is very eye opening. I decided immediately to not do chemo and to fight this cancer naturally. This decision was hit immediately with strong opposition from the Dr.’s. They were pressuring me to do chemo that day. They started to raise their voices and were almost yelling at me. They scheduled me to talk to another team of Dr.’s that day. I met with an oncologist and they immediately started to lecture my wife and I about how stupid our decision was. They got really mad when I explained that I am going to die with chemo or without it and I wanted to refuse chemo.
This conversation started a chain reaction. My wife and I started to receive phone calls at all times of the day and night telling us that I was going to die and chemo was my only chance of living longer. They called my wife and told her that she will be raising our triplets alone because I was killing myself.
When I was first diagnosed with the second tumor, I asked the Dr. “How do you know this is cancer with out a biopsy?” He said, “If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it is a duck”. Is this how everyone get diagnosed or is it just me?
I was going in once a month to get CT scans to check on my progress. The Dr.’s started lying about my test results (they did not want me to know the tumor started to shrink). Once I called them out on the lying they decided to withhold my test results. (This took a phone call to the hospital administration to get resolved).
On October 31st 2009 I went in for a CT scan and an hour later I received a phone call from a new doctor who was covering for my Dr. who was out sick. She told me that the previous Dr.’s I talked to were wrong and I did not have cancer. 30 min later she calls again saying she made a mistake and I am once again dying of cancer. About 45 min after the second call I received a third call saying they have no idea what the mass is.
In November I talked to a surgeon about removing rest of the tumor. He got angry when I asked him questions (he said something that contradicted himself). He then told me he did not care if I lived or died on his operating table. After I picked my jaw back up off the floor I left. A few weeks later I received a certified letter in the mail that said that I was going to die from cancer because I refused to do chemo.
In December 2009 I saw a naturopath Dr. who said the plan I was using was fantastic. She had me incorporate fish in my diet so I could gain some weight back. (at that point I was 170lbs I started at 235lbs.) She also confirmed what I had been asking Dr’s from the beginning was if I can get my tumor biopsied. At this point all of the Dr’s I saw refused to biopsy my tumor. I started to go through the phone book and try to find a doctor who would biopsy me. I only found one Dr.
The results were that my tumor was 100% dead cancer cells. I also found a surgeon who was willing to remove my tumor. On April 20th 2010 I had a 9.5 hr. surgery to remove the tumor at Cleveland Clinic. I received 4 inches of incision from my first surgery in 2009 and 26 inches of incisions on my second surgery on April 20th 2010. I have had a cat scan once a year since April 20th and I have had no problems.
What alternative therapies did you do and which ones helped you the most?
I started off doing the Hallelujah Acres Diet, with Angstrom ionic liquid cesium and potassium, Solaray Tumeric and Essiac Tea. I added everything that I could afford that fought cancer naturally. I started jogging and lifting weights. I made sure I ate large quantities of raw broccoli, spinach, garlic and carrots. I was losing so much weight. I added wild caught fish into my diet when I started to get too thin.
What books, products, and supplements do you recommend?
I recommend to anyone that you though everything you can at cancer, attack it on every front. Cut off its food supply (sugar), take away its ideal environment (acidic blood and get plenty of exercise outside in the sun). I recommend the web site www.hacres.com this helped me get a diet plan started and it got me on the right track. I also recommend Essiac Tea. When you are fighting cancer you need to continually clean out your liver. I also recommend talking to a naturopathic Dr. I did not see mine for 9 months into my cancer battle.Williams Family Christmas 2012
