Tulsi Plant Holy Basil lowers Fluoride in Water

It was recently discovered by researchers from the Rajasthan University in India that the Tulsi Plant, otherwise known as Holy Basil, has the ability to acutely lower fluoride levels in water. The experiment consisted of soaking 75mg of Tulsi leaves into 100ml of water with a fluoride level of 7.4ppm (parts per million). It is recommended that water with fluoride levels above 0.7-1.2ppm is unsafe to drink, so needless to say this water was in no condition to drink. After 8 short hours of soaking, tests displayed a fluoride level of just 1.1ppm.
