Obama Tells Disappointed Supporters: "I Am the Change."
Oh, brother...
Barack Obama told his disappointed supporters who voted for him on the promise of change only to find him appoint old Clintonites and Bush cabinet members not to be upset-- "I am the change."
McClatchy reported:
President-elect Barack Obama essentially said Wednesday that he is the change, striving to assure Americans that he'll shake up Washington despite filling his administration with old hands from the Clinton administration and the capital's corridors of power.
"Understand where the vision for change comes from, first and foremost," Obama said. "It comes from me. That's my job, is to provide a vision in terms of where we are going, and to make sure, then, that my team is implementing."
Halleluiah.

It's getting better and better. No really, I'm serious, sort of. Obama is amusing. Has he figured out that voting "present" doesn't work as POTUS?
He is the change? Quarter or dime? Considering how serious every enemy of freedom and liberty takes him I would say he's not even a dime.

If you want to see the change - and the real agents of d'ohbama's change - don't look at the cabinet apointments. Go deeper into the system and check out the "Schedule C" appointments. These lower-ranking appointees are the "worker bees" who actually impliment whatever policy the president desires. The Dept. Secretaries are there just to provide cover and aquiescence to the president.
LOOK LOWER DOWN THE LADDER! There lies the power.

I'm not sure he has an answer for his constituency. There are times when reality collides head on with rhetoric....then reality sets in.
The reality is that there is not much of anything that he can do different than GWB where the GWOT is concerned. Oh, he probably will be able to tweak foreign policy somewhat, but there cannot be any big change there...he can't take the chance of alienating the existing "allies" in hopes of turning some quasi enemies.
I have to give Obama (or whoever is advising him) props for recognizing the reality. I hope it continues.

His own mother, she said at the beginning of her remarks, was "very young and very single when she had him."
Obama can & will get away with anything, he has way too many billionaire's pulling his strings..
i don't know about past elections being bought or not..
but i can say i have witnessed America being "sold" during this one..
aah, and so much more, but those who should be were not interested..
they had but one goal, and that was to be given the power to take over America..
albeit may take a decade or so, once they realize they too have been used, all hell will break loose..

I would never hire Fred as an attorney. Just based upon a few responses here I can tell what kind of brainpower and logic he is lacking.
I'll turn on my super powers and guess that if in fact he is an attorney it's for do it yourself divorces and wills.

You'll be amazed at what our first mulato president accomplished in Kenya. He and fellow Lua tribesman Riala Odinga (A documented marxist, murderer and muslim) orchestrated a power sharing set up with the rightfully elected Christian leader of Kenya. This was done after Odinga fomented muslim perpetrated violence that saw up to one thousand Kenyan Christians killed and tortured. This wasn't an election, it was a coup.

[As an example of dualism in BLT doctrine is that blacks are inherently the victims and whites are the oppressors. All criticism is for whites, blacks are innocent. The lack of symmetry is obvious. Free speech does not allow criticism of minorities. This dualism is extended to where a Mohammed cartoon is hatred, but Andres Serrano's "Piss Christ" is art.
Since Muslims are the best of people and follow a perfect doctrine, there is no need to even examine Islam, since, ipso facto, it is right. Therefore, all criticism of Islam is hate speech.
BLT holds that crime in the black neighborhoods is due to the CIA bringing in crack cocaine and the AIDS virus. Blacks are believed to have no responsibility. Blacks even temper criticism of rap hate-speech by saying that it the fault of the rich white record producers.
The parallel with Islam is exact. When Mohammed attacked the poor Meccan kafirs and killed them, it was the kafirs' fault. They had opposed Islam and were guilty of the first offense. Any opposition to BLT is due to inherent bigotry on the part of the white critic, by definition. Therefore, the white man/kafir is due his fair share of abuse by the pious imam or BLT preacher.
Islam is always the victim. Being the victim is the perfect cover for crime and hate. Aggression and crime can be camouflaged as self-defense. BLT claims that when the white girl is raped by a black man, the crime is a form of revolution and represents justice. Over half of all crimes that blacks commit are against whites, but only 2.6% of white crimes are against blacks. When too many blacks are in prison or too many Muslims are terrorists, the statistics are merely proof of white/kafir bigotry.

We have two sets of enemies. The far enemy is the politics of Islam. The near enemies are the dhimmi apologists, fueled by ignorance and multiculturalism and political correctness.
Our universities present Islamic history as a glorious triumph. Humanity's greatest moment came in the Islamic golden age. The Crusades were Western evil. Cultural self-loathing manifests in showing the history of the West as oppression and Islam is seen as liberating. Women's oppression under Islam is seldom discussed in feminist classes. Israel is condemned and jihadists are presented as "freedom fighters". Christianity is criticized, Islam is praised. Leftist/liberal/progressive intellectuals give frequent speeches at universities while conservative speakers are sometimes forbidden to speak or toughs are allowed to drive them from the stage.
The dhimmis and the oppressed does not exist in universities. Muslims dictate what will be said about Islam in textbooks.
The news media rarely publishes anything about the Islamic doctrine. Most Islamic terror is never mentioned. The dots are never connected. Each event of Islamic violence is seen on its own and never as part of a pattern. The media love to follow up any bad news about Islam with Muslims speaking "nice".
The near enemy finds good reasons not to publish Mohammed cartoons, and find reasons to feel good about being a dhimmi. The near enemy criticized the Pope when he gave a historic quote about Islam's violence even when Muslims killed Christians in protest and called for the Pope's death.
A public policy of political correctness and multiculturalism forbids criticism of Islam as being racist and violent.]

Did he say it?
Here was the actual quote:

Sounds more like "The Buck Stops Here" which I think someone actually said.
Why would McClatchy and GP lie about this relatively minor point? Anyone here care to defend/support GP's lie, or is it OK to lie in support of a "just" cause?
