The Copenhagen Agenda - It's About Control

Morpheus: What is the Matrix? Control.

So you really believe that the Copenhagen confab on "climate change" (once called "global warming"; remember that?) is about saving the planet? Let me attempt to dissuade you, oh gullible one....

There's a reason why politicians have ignored the "Climategate" scandal, or, in the case of the Obama administration, denies it even exists. The hard left is approaching it's moment of triumph, and the bad science and falsified data that their march has been based on is not enough to stop them as they gather in Denmark to destroy the wealth and security of the West in order to gain absolute power over the lives of every citizen...Jennifer Rubin discusses the real business of Copenhagen:

And when it comes to transferring the wealth, Obama has the patter down. Not only must we set an example by hobbling our own economies (”those wealthy nations that did so much damage to the environment in the 20th century must accept our obligation to lead”) but we also need to get down “to extend a hand to those with less, while reforming international institutions to give more nations a greater voice.”

So let’s not delude ourselves. The Obami’s share-the-wealth vision and indulgence of the “international community” (and the latter’s sense of entitlement) are far too important to let a little scientific fraud and some constitutional niceties get in the way. There’s real business to be done at Copenhagen.

Darleen Click over at Protein Wisdom:

This is “science” in service to a political, ideological agenda and finally wresting freedom and liberty from the populace and putting power into the hands of those 16,500 politicians, officials, “scientists” and environmental activists to miromanage the lives of everyone else is the endgame.

Think this is over the top? Well, maybe you'll change your mind later today, when crooked EPA head Lisa Jackson (Jersey girl alert) redefines the very air we breathe out as a dangerous pollutant...from the Wall Street Journal:

...the Obama administration is expected as early as Monday to formally declare carbon dioxide a dangerous pollutant.

An "endangerment" finding by the Environmental Protection Agency could pave the way for the government to require businesses that emit carbon dioxide and five other greenhouse gases to make costly changes in machinery to reduce emissions -- even if Congress doesn't pass pending climate-change legislation. EPA action to regulate emissions could affect the U.S. economy more directly, and more quickly, than any global deal inked in the Danish capital, where no binding agreement is expected.

An EPA endangerment finding "could result in a top-down command-and-control regime that will choke off growth by adding new mandates to virtually every major construction and renovation project," U.S. Chamber of Commerce President Thomas Donohue said in a statement.

EPA action won't do much to combat climate change, and "is certain to come at a huge cost to the economy," said the National Association of Manufacturers, a trade group that stands as a proxy for U.S. industry.

So there you go. Every business activity, every breath every American exhales, will now be at the mercy of the likes of Lisa Jackson and Barack Obama. Command and control of every business and individual by claiming the very air they breathe in and out is dangerous and must be regulated.

Still think Copenhagen is about saving the planet? Or is it a once-in-a millennium opportunity for a small group of elite to take control of virtually the entire planet under the guise of saving it?

Watch what unfolds, and what is said. And then you tell me.
