Recipes and Testimony:
Mouth Sores And Lemon Oil
Author: Doris M.
A small amount of essential oil of lemon works wonders to get rid of a canker sore. I was away for a few days and ate the wrong foods that caused a canker sore to develop. I had the sore for 3 days. I didn’t have any oils with me, big mistake and tried using a drugstore remedy. This did not do a thing. When I arrived home, I put a small amount of lemon oil on my finger, applied it directly to canker sore and within minutes I felt relief. The canker sore was gone by the end of next day.
*For extra mouth sores relief – dilute theives, lavender, and lemon oil with any base oil and apply to the infected area daily.
Lemon Oil For Sore Throat & Heartburn:
Author: Rachel R.
After eating too much food close to bedtime, I woke with heartburn. I put 3 drops of lemon oil on my tongue and then 8ozs of water. The lemon eased the heartburn. Moments after this I was busy looking up which oil I could use for my sore throat. After I had found some recommendations, I was trying to decide which oil to use when I realized my throat was no longer sore, because of the lemon I had used for my heartburn.
Also, one time I forgot to use lemon oil and since I keep lavender oil at work, I used the Lavender oil, and that worked so well!
Lemon Essential Oil Helps To Keep Alert In Class

Author: Maureen B.
A friend and I took a weekend class. About half way through the first day we were tired and a bit foggy. The next morning before we headed off to learn some more I made up a couple of “smelling salts” with lemon. Many times throughout the day we would take a deep inhalation of the lemon, and it cleared our heads and kept us awake and alert. It was like night and day compared to the day before. I love going to workshops and learning new things but will never go to one again without my lemon “smelling salts”.
Nail Rescue
3 drops Lemon
3 tablespoons F.C.O.
1 tablespoon Beeswax
Directions: Heat the beeswax in a small glass bowl over a pan of simmering water. When runny, add the Lemon oil and stir thoroughly.
Add the F.C.O. a little at a time, stirring constantly. (As the beeswax cools, it will become solid but pliable. If it is too hard, heat again and add more F.C.O., a drop at a time.)
Apply the wax to the fingers and nails as a treatment once a week for maintenance.
Lemon Oil Deodorant:
Author: Solange S.
I’ve wanted to stay away from the commercial deodorants for long time and couldn’t find any natural products that helped. I received my Essential 7 kit and decided to try the lemon oil as a deodorant because in Ecuador people sometimes use lemon juice. Well, the lemon oil has worked perfectly and now that is the only thing I use.
Lemon Fresh Deodorant Recipe
4 Tbs. extra virgin coconut oil – softened
2 Tbs. baking soda
2 Tbs. arrowroot (or GMO free cornstarch)
5-10 drops of lemon essential oil
Directions: In a small bowl, mix together the baking soda and arrowroot. Add in the coconut oil and lemon essential oil. Mix well with a spoon. Transfer the mixture into an old deodorant container or jar. Place in the refrigerator to harden for 30 minutes. Use as you would normally use deodorant. I find that very light strokes works best as the coconut oil does warm up to your body temperature.
Tip: If you live some place warm or it’s summer time, I recommend storing deodorant in a cool place or in the refrigerator. Since coconut oil melts at anything higher than 76 degrees, it can leak out of your deodorant tub in warm weather. If you are storing in a jar, then there is no concern.
Oil Safety:
When choosing essential oils, there are different grades available.  There are low priced essential oils available in your local grocery store or online.  Those are most likely fine for using in cleaning supplies perfumes and candle recipes. But, If you are using lemon essential oil for medicinal uses, or internally, be sure to check with the oil company that they are safe to ingest. Essential Oil Safety is very important. I highly recommend using a Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade oil, such as Young Living Essential Oil.  Find out how to order Young Living Essential Oil HERE.
